My anxiety and depression about society today gets really intense during some moments or days, I have a bad feeling about the current and future of society by reading stuff that's happening and that nobody can stop it from happening now, we realize we are screwed either way so why bother with having aspiration or planning about my future in life anyway? I'm mad at God, I have always believed there is a God but now I almost resign myself from God and Christianity. Like our ancestors made a past mistake and God says "oh, I created a world and called it good but the previous generation ruined it, so I'm going to allow it to be destroyed now". I think many Christians who teach that way are callous in that they don't want to empathize with why others feel "bad" or differently.

In the title, sometimes I have moments where I get a lump in my throat, and parents and whoever in real life think I'm crazy or annoying for talking about it. I just want to find somebody who is open-minded and doesn't demonize me for preferring certain political ideologies. Like I get mocked or tormented by both most Christians and most atheists.

It's scary and often feels hopeless. But, isn't life life's purpose?

Could you not take a break from reading the news if it makes you feel so anxious?

I'm not a great believer in the biblical concept of god, but from what I understand, mankind is meant to go through great trials and tribulations before the time of the end and we should rejoice when we see such things.
Which in a nutshell is why I can't believe in the god of the bible.

Around 40% of what you read in the news is false. So I can understand if you are constantly bombarded with fear, it will corrode your sense of reality and cause a very pessimistic perception of life. If you want to progress out of this state, then look for the truth in things, look for the indicators of truth. Look to see if something is said to be closed to debate? When someone says these facts can no longer be questioned, that is generally an indicator that it is in reality set on a foundation of quicksand. When a subject is discussed and ad hominem attacks soon follow, that is an indication that its foundation rest in quicksand. So look at both sides of a news story and analyze it from multiple perspectives.

Assuming you do believe in Christianity, which I don't - yet, then you should welcome the end of the world, as it is the necessary precursor to a new, just order to reign for however many thousands of years. Read Revelation.
