My aunt on my dad's side died today at work, presumably while I was either passed out after early meetings or at home sick, still working. More than anything, this has me worried about
everyone. Buy yourselves better stuff, take more breaks, if you work all the time TAKE THE CREDIT FOR IT AND LIVE. If you can live within your means, great, but if that's not an option, LIVE IT UP ANYWAY.
Hug your pets too; she'll appreciate that.
By this point I could care less if my work contract gets me hired, I want no part of an economy that ignores life itself. I was already sick today & now I feel worse. Think before you impose stress on others, it's not the tool you might think it is.
I don't care what you think money is good for, chances are it's wrong. We owe the world a debt of gratitude & it's not in USD.
Why do you think i’m On SSDI?
To me, the American dream was, and still is, nightmare. I was working 1 full-time and two part-time jobs just to make ends meet. THIS WAS BACK IN 1986!! !! It didn’t help that I was spending beyond my means. It also didn’t help when my father died shortly after I took the job in Chicago, and literally had no time to grieve. I’m surprised I wasn’t fired then and there, as my work went straight downhill, as extra duties got piled on me. With each subsequent job with different employee, it was more work with less pay, as those jobs were contractor jobs. If you ever worked federal contract jobs, you are almost always treated as a non-human. Even as a contractor to private business, you were still a non-person.
In short, the Gordon Gekkos of the world have won. Greed is good has been their mantra for almost 40 years, and they could care less about those that contribute to the bottom line.
