In the fall of 2017, my aunt, who was close to, fell out with me as we had been drifting apart along with the relationship being toxic.

The day after Christmas, I got a phone call from her neighbor that no one was able to reach her for days so they called the police for a welfare check. Long story short, they found her in her bed after suffering a massive stroke died yesterday after spending her last 10 days going in and out of a coma.

What are some good resources?

Thank you.
They called me on the phone the day after Christmas and told me what was going on and I followed up with them. I also told my youngest sister and gave her the correct contact information. Finally, I visited my aunt while she was in the hospital and was in a coma after being taken off the ventilator. However, hope lingered as she came out of her coma and they checked her out with temporary around the clock care inside of her house. However, she died and a half days later which was early yesterday morning.

I am glad you got to see her before she died. Even if she was in a coma, there is evidence the comatose are aware of what is happening around them.

What sort of resources were you looking for?

Anything related to grief right now because I am required to wait 8 weeks before I can start attending a free support group for people going through loss and bereavement.

Meanwhile, I am talking to my regular counselor every week and I like her a lot. I already told her last week when my aunt was still in the hospital.
