My mom and I differ a lot. We are completely different people. She has high blood pressure and while I am trying to be stress free so she can get healthy our differences in personality are the main reason we argue.

I love my mom but when we do hang out we mostly do things she wants to do like watch cooking shows. When we went to the mall she didn’t have any interest in Forever 21 and wouldn’t go in with me but at least we went to a mall. When we do hang out we argue about something, always.

I used to argue with my mom a lot. It was hard sometimes. We would drive each other crazy. Ever since I moved out we get along though. But sometimes she can be a nag.

At least there are times when you and your mom get along right?

There are times we do until I bring up clothes. I’m almost 30. It’s time to stop dressing like an emo (which I don’t do anyway)and be a prim and feminine girly girl. My mom says band tees are “me” and tells me that I dress prissy by choice and I don’t have to. My mom loves metal and goth. I feel like the outcast of our family.

I love my mom but our differences in clothes are ruining our relationship. I hardly own any band tees to begin with and she tells me to not buy more clothes. It’s so confusing. I don’t know who and what she wants me to be.

You should just wear what you want to wear and buy how ever much cloths you want. Its not up to your mom. But I know the feeling of wanting to please your mom so who am I to talk.

My mom is insane. Tonight when we were preparing Christmas dinner she flipped out at me and dad because she thought we were hovering over her. She always turns psycho when she makes gravy because it is never thick enough for her. Me and dad were just waiting for the food to get done and she made a big deal out of it. It hurt our feelings.

Moms can be hard to deal with.

Making gravy is one of the toughest jobs!! I go crazy then too. It makes me want to never have company for holiday dinners. :skull:

Mine goes psycho whenever we have company over. She goes into a cleaning cooking frenzy and I have learned to just avoid her and stay out of her way when I hear the word "company". Other than that we get along pretty well.
