Embarrassing moment

I had lunch out with a friend of mine I haven't seen in a while yesterday. I ate pizza that was rather spicy and ate ice-cream afterwards. Then we went into a quiet shop that sold jewellery, and there was some rather posh people in there. I felt a burp coming (from the food I ate I think), and it came out rather unintentionally loud. The people in there looked annoyed, even though I said pardon me. We left the shop because it was embarrassing.
Do you think those posh people have forgotten about it by now? I hope they don't recognise me if I went in there again. But surely they burp sometimes, and I can't always help burping loud, especially after I've eaten. Well, it wasn't loud loud, it was just loud enough for other people nearby to hear (this shop was rather small and echoey).

Burping is fine, farting is less cool, but way funnier.

I find farting is easier to control, but neither are funny really.

They probably forgot about a few minutes afterwards.

Think how long posh people would really care about a burp. Actually, ... think how long *any person* would care about a burp.

If you find yourself busy all the time thinking of burps, well, you shouldn't.

If they are still thinking about the burp, what does it say about them? Sad, pathetic people is the answer. Just forget about it and do not let it bother you. People burp and fart all the time, it happens as a byproduct of living.
