Someone pursued me to my front door

I don't feel safe. A man followed me right to the front door of my apartment and he threatnened to beat me up. When I told him I had Autism he said sorry but before that he was more than eagear to beat the s**t out of me. What a f*****g scary world we live in!

Why did you threaten you? Did he appear out of nowhere and for no reason? I'm glad you're safe. Keep your wits about you when you're out and about!

Why did he do that?

I talked to his girlfriend... I didn't know she was attached. He got pissed off as hell when he found out.

I would assume if you don't talk to his girlfriend anymore you should have nothing to worry about since he backed off and didn't beat you up.

Did you make anything interesting and nutritious for supper today? Off topic question, but I just thought of it.

Ha, cooking is the last thing on my mind at the moment. I don't think I'll last much longer but it'll be an interesting one anyway.

Jealous violent boyfriends can be a problem if you are chatting up girls on a night out. It's probably a rare thing fifasy if all you did was chat ( i.e not flirt ) , most guys like this are usually locked up , single or have met their match so calm down.

I would hate to live somewhere I don't feel safe. I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope it was just a one-off and that like Ferris says, is no big deal since you were chatting up his girlfriend. Wait a minute....you are afraid to go to the grocery store to buy food, but you are not afraid to go out on the town chatting up strange women? Not a criticism, but I must be missing something.

Oh that’s terrifying, I’m sorry that happened. Maybe get some pepper spray? It will definitely stop a predator if they’re threatening you, or moving in to harm you. Or get something like a handheld keychain alarm to let them know you’re not going to take any bs. People can be very territorial of their significant other. Maybe keep the talking to random women a daytime-only thing unless you’re with a group of friends. I guess you can take it as a compliment though because he was threatened by you. He may not have cared if he didn’t think you could steal his woman

Pepper spray is illegal in the UK but you can get legal Deterrent Self-Defence sprays , an alarm is a good idea , I got my MIL one and it is very loud 143dbs .

Whoa I had no idea. That’s alarming, why would pepper spray be illegal? It’s a (non violent) self defense mechanism for one who is being attacked. It’s not like a gun or knife that can actually end someone life. So I assume there is no legal weaponry license to have either? Not that I think everyone should be carrying weapons, I’m just interested.

Section 5(1) (b) of the firearms act of 1968:
This act prohibits any weapon of any description, designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas or other substance.

From my understanding it’s not legal to defend yourself over there,
I’ve hesrd of people defending themselves with just their hands going to jail along with the attacker. While in the USA such people would file a report and be tsken to hospital if bad and then let go.
Heck in us if you kill someone breaking in your house there’s a report and your let go.
We have right to self defense most other nations don’t allow. Their govis responsible for their defense, our police in the USA are t required to defend or protect us.

Problem with that is the jury isn’t in the situation and doesn’t understand the state of mine. Here in the USA the state of mind of their person is considered not what jury considers reasonable.

I’ve never served in war so how could I decided what’s reasonable in war ina. Fight to death situation.

I’m glad I live in the USA where if I defend my self there’s 90% odds I’ll just be let go and offered counseling services to help.
