The entire USA sucks to me. I wish I could move.

I'm not sure if anywhere is great right now, as the banking crisis of 2008 is still slowly being put on the shoulders of the working class. Remember, the last crisis of that scale lead to the dustbowl, the rise of fascism and then to ww2.
Everything below 70 million dead is an improvement on last time.

Also: at least you're not in the UK right now, where people don't even know how to lighten the brexit-mood with jokes. The land of monty python is speechless in the face of lunacy.

I have a feeling it won't be long before the US gets just as bad, maybe worse?

There's many MUCH worse places---trust me.

I know, but I can't help but shake this anxious feeling that things are about to get so much worse for us.

One thing good about the Good Ole USA: You can say anything you want online---as long as you don't threaten to kill someone or advocate molesting a child. Though they are clamping down on the Nazi/racist sorts of things.

But for how long? If we go completely bankrupt things might start to get a lot more oppressive.

And frankly I don't like living in a country where the media lies to us and our CIA tortures and murders anybody they feel like and they never get punished for it. Not to mention the fact that we have sabatoged countries like Guatemala.

I feel like we're already as evil as Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, and the USSR. Most Americans just like to hide their heads in the sand though.

We are a pain in the ass country, yes. We get bullshitted all the time. But, at least, we could talk about being bullshitted without being put in jail.

We are so far from Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, Stalinist Russia, etc.

What people need is PERSPECTIVE. That's the key word here.

Read up on those places you mentioned. Really do your research.

I understand that. The US does f****d up things, too. I never denied that.

I wish we would adhere to the Geneva Convention.

But the overall quality of life for Americans is not like it was in a place like Stalinist Russia. Unfortunately, for "Aryan Germans," Nazi Germany provided a decent life.

The thing that really worries me is that things have been good for us for so long on the surface but what is going to happen if or when it all comes crashing down? I honestly believe that our system is doomed to fail eventually.

It hasn't failed in almost 243 years; what makes you so sure it will fail now?

And there were much worse things occurring than what is occurring right now under Trump.

During the Great Depression, we could, easily, have gone over to Communism.

I REALLY do not want to bring Trump into this! We've had other sh***y presidents like Reagan, Bush, and Obama and I am very aware of that. And everything going wrong with our country is not just the president's fault. He is nothing more than a tool used to take the blame and distract us from the REAL morons who are f*****g things up!

So please just drop it with Trump!

And yes Communism is bad but Capitalism can be bad too! Capitalism is like a big leech that survives and grows stronger by feeding off the blood of other countries.

I made a very neutral statement about Trump. Why get hot under the collar about it?

I believe the ideal would be something akin to a modified form of "social democracy," as practiced in a place like Germany.

I'm not a great lover of pure, unadulterated capitalism.....

I'll tell you exactly why! Because every time his name gets mentioned in any topic that topic gets overflown with Trump supporters and Trump haters who throw nasty insults at each other and ruin the discussion, and you know it.

I really do not want to discuss him ever again! I am doing my best to ignore everything about him and if I have to overreact just to get my point across then so be it.
