I can be incredibly productive, but sometimes/often I get stuck in cycles of avoidance/procrastination where I'll binge watch certain things and put off doing what I know needs to be done.

I ensure that what work needs to be done at my job is done. And, I do my job well. I actually support other people in my work, but generally neurotypical.

I want to achieve more, and am seeking recommendations for how others get unstuck.

Whenever I'm tempted to procrastinate/ avoid my duties, I put before myself a vision of the mediocrity that will result from doing so, and the fear sets me straight.

I think most of us, as humans procrastinate at one time or another. As you say you ensure that your work is getting done, I wouldn't stress about it too much.

Since you want to achieve more, you might consider what it is you want to achieve, and also why you want to achieve it, because something is making whatever ELSE your doing more pleasurable or important. Is there something unpleasant or Scary, or unduly difficult about your goal(s) that is causing this do you think?

I wish I could help, but I am a super procrastinator. It’s like there is a wall that I can’t get past. Even things I would love to do don’t get done, let alone things I ought to do.

Interesting article. What stood out most was the statement that procrastination was “self harm”. I can see how it would be, just like cutting.
