This is the part about autism I dont like
A new friend said I could come over to her place on the weekend if I wanted to. She has said on other occasions that I could come over if I felt like it. Im too shy to do it. Its not so bad when we are at the soup kitchen and I can walk over with her. But to go to her place alone would frighten me. What if we have nothing to talk about? Maye Im just not comfortable around her as a person. Ive always hated going to peoples places alone. I almost wish she never asked.
for one, going to ppl's places is really scary at first (and sometimes forever). for 2, u can very politely refuse and suggest u 2 instead chill out in a park, for example. when i have problems like that, i use blunt way. saying "i like u, and i am not pushing u away, i want to hang out with u, but i'd like to (change topic, go a place where i'd be comfortable, etc). ppl, who later became my friends, never had a problem with it. and those who did, wouldnt turn out as friend anyways. its sort of a filter. sometimes 2 persons can maintain normal, civil casual contact, but cant be friends (or spouses, for that instance), because 1000000 possible reasons. its normal. u have a right (and obligation to urself) to maintain boundaries u find comfortable. ppl, who suit u, will follow suit.

beware the ire of the patient ones!
and if i walk away, who is gonna stay? i believe to make the world be a better place.
I found out in many cultures "You definitely have to visit us!" is just a polite phrase.
Even if it's not, you have right to refuse.
Maybe after you know each other better?
