Im getting grey hair

Im only 34 and Ive got a big ol streak of grey hair already. It feels way to soon. Like Id expect that at 45. I know some of you have gotten greys early on too and Im sorry for that. Yeah it just feels to soon. I feel old now!

i like gray hair. It goes with all my clothes! Unlike the jet black hair I had 15 years ago,

I'm 26 and I found what I'm pretty sure was a gray hair a few months ago - though it's possible it was just a very light blonde hair, my hair is mostly brown with some blonde thrown in but not really visible if you aren't looking for it hair by hair. But early graying does run in my family.

I started getting grey hairs when I was 14. I'm probably 30% by now. And my hair is black so it really shows up. I don't mind it much though. Now that I am a grown man I don't think it draws unwanted attention that it probably did when I was a kid. The lower part of my beard has some grey hairs too.

My grandmother pointed out that I had a grey hair. It was a single strand on my head. I was 19. It stayed like this foe years. Just the one strand. Then about 10 years... maybe 15 years ago the rest of my hair slowly turned grey. Some of it is almost white. My hair also became thin which I prefer slightly, as if a hair came of my head when my hair was thicker and dark brown, then I would be itchy and irritated for most of the day if it went down my back. Thin greyish white hair can do this but not so often. I still can't have a haircut except at home and the clothes washed three times afterwards before I can wear them again... And I have to go straight into the bath after a haircut... Is this normal as some people go to a hair dresser or barbour? I have tried it in the past and the journey home was soo uncomfortable and irritating... I was almost ripping my clothes off on the way home. It could be that other peoples hair is softer then mine? No idea.

Mine are white and wiry.

I'm taking a supplement to hopefully stop my hair from turning grey. I did alittle research as to why it turns grey & it is related to depletion of Catalase so in theory a Catalase supplement could potentially help. It probably wouldn't work for people who have a lot of grey hair thou. It might mostly just stop the grey hair from forming instead of turning it back after it's there.

I'm getting grey strands myself and I'm only 23! Unfortunately, it's my genetics that give me this small burden. Quick solution: hair dye!

Me too. I've never died my hair. I was looking up local salons today. It's really expensive to get salon dying! But I'm too scared to do it myself and too vain to leave it. I wasn't attractive enough to tempt any one when i was young, who's going to want me with grey hair?

I started going grey in my 20's Sometimes I leave it, sometimes I dye it to match the rest of my hair and sometimes I bleach it and dye it pink, or blue, or green or just leave it a platinum blonde.

I like playing with my hair color and style a lot though. It can be expensive, but once you learn, its really not hard to do at home.

Never have dyed my hair. Not one who bothers with how I look... I have to make an effort to remember to comb my hair or put some "Acceptable" clothes on etc.

That is very relatable. I don't own a brush or a proper comb, I can't stand the feel of them. I keep my hair short enough to wash and fluff. and I've given up on figuring out "acceptable clothes" . I have the same shirts in different colors, pants I feel comfortable in and socks etc. I just grab one of each everyday. It all seems to mix and match well enough for me.

What about trousers? Sorry. It was funny for us in UK as we have visions of people walking around half dressed, as what we call pants are worn under trousers.

Do you find you wear clothes more for comfort then for the looks?

Ha - I see what you did there. I forgot the whole pants/trousers difference. Yes, I wear mostly for comfort. I try not to stand out in public, but I have sensory issues and certain fabrics just rub me the wrong way. Once I find something I like, I buy a lot of it.

I had a therapist remark on it once, and he was concerned that I was wearing the same exact things (as in owning 1 outfit). I jokingly proved that I had 10 of the same outfits.

Although I do have a few more formal items for meetings, dinners, weddings etc. My day to day wear is mostly the same all the time.
