I often think about what it would be like to become homeless. Like I could fall upon hard times. It’s happened before. I have fecal incompetence. Do you think if I was homeless they would let me use a public washroom so I don’t s**t myself? I think I would anyway because my health would be worse. I’m afraid of becoming homeless for this reason. I wouldn’t even do good living out of a car.

It wouldn't be nice. That's right.

But why would you be homeless?

Sarah

Look up "Restroom Access Act"

In some states

Some businesses let you go to the bathroom, if you are not a customer

Some don't

Colleges have plenty of bathrooms

Bed bath and beyond
Office Depot
Nordstrom
Leila cafe

Had the nerve to tell me not to go to the bathroom

They kicked me out

Food max made a scene

There were at least four employees there kicking me out the bathroom. One boy barked "they s**t take hours! If you can't s**t, get off!"

The boy slammed the door

If it was on the street, I would have thought he was going to physically injure my worthless corpse

Ass hole

There were two toilets in the men's bathroom

Nobody was waiting for it

Having said that, not many business are open 24 hours a day

And they might just have one toilet and a line

Customers could bang on the door

One idiot peered over the bathroom door at me when I was on the toilet

That's weird

Amy Lee scheel b***h dialed my phone number when I was on the outhouse

And I would have preferred for her come inside

She told me that that would have been invading privacy

But better privacy invaded , than if she just drove off without me

Ass holes !

I worry about the future. Like if they take away my disability because of funding cuts or something. I know some nice bathrooms in this town I could go to. But the cops might chase me out of town to the city and then Id have to find new places to do the number two.

Do you have social workers that can help you with stuff?

There are usually options out there that must of us don’t know about but social workers do.

It’s best not to worry about the “what ifs” that will probably never happen.

I don’t think that it will ever come down to that.

This sounds like an irrational fear (I’ve had plenty!). If you see a counselor, you might want to talk to her about it.

"Irrational fear"?

Income goes down

The government could reduce Sarah's disability check (not surprising)

Expenses go up

Suddenly Sarah needs something she did not already need . Medical bills, legal bills, whatever

Rent goes up

Does not sound "irrational" to me

Plenty of people on Wrong planet, claim to be unemployed or underemployed

Without knowing Sarah's particular situation, you don't know if it is a rational fear

I do know that she has been on disability for some time and needs to be. She lives in a decent country when it comes to the welfare of its people.

He's right about the rent going up. There is a building accross from me where the rent is going up 45% just because they put new windows in. And our landlord said the rent might go up if we get fined again for not seperating garbage.

I wouldnt do so good in apartment on my own- unless I had a helper right away. But I think there is a wait list for that.

Got evicted twice

Once, two weeks notice

San Diego 2004 was homophobic

Autistic

Went to 17 apartments

Only one took me

Maybe I will be homeless too

Homeless is  not  an "irrational fear"

Homeless is a  rational fear  . So is rape, jail, disease, disability

Yeah I dont think the fear of becoming homeless is irrational. Although it does comfort me for someone to say that.

It's called "Fecal Incontinence" not imcompetence. I have some sort of urinary incontinence and need to see a specialist doc about it since I've had for 20 years or something and never dealt w/it.

Some shopping centers have bathrooms, that anyone can go to

My problem with bathrooms blow dryers

Idiots bang on the door

Idiots take too long

Dirty bathroom

Homophobia

Sometimes the staff refuses to give you the key or code

Wait til someone else goes to the bathroom and catch the door on the way out

Schools
