How do you guys deal with feelings of meaninglessness in the grand scheme of things? I'm worried that nothing that I do, feel, or say in my life matters, and that seems like a slippery slope that leads to a lack of interest in everything.

I think I responded to several of your other posts.

The answer to your question is to get out of yourself and your head and help someone less fortunate than you are. When you feel bad, help another.

So basically you realize that your life IS meaningless and you get over yourself.

Then find a way to make meaning in it. Like the previous poster suggested, get out of your head and find a way to connect with others by doing something for them.

Find something you care about and do that. I contribute and work with animal charities. That's my way of giving back to someone less fortunate than me.

I don't deal with it, how do you think I ended up here?

Define your own meaning.
Mine is self-actualisation.

Sure, “in the grand scheme of things” nobody matters. Nothing they do matters, either.

But so what? If I can enjoy what I’m doing then it doesn’t matter that it doesn’t matter.

A hedonistic life isn’t all that bad, as long as you are not hurting others.
