My parents are the only people I go out to dinner with. Both of them together, and they're divorced. My mum's other husband goes too. To be fair they're the only people who still invite me anywhere, everyone else gave up in the end which sounds awful but has been a big relief. There's nothing wrong with dinning out with your parents. The question is do you want to go out with other people? the two aren't mutually exclusive.

I prefer to dine alone, but I often dine with my parents when they come over.

I need my parents, aunt or cousin with me wherever I go. Not the best situation, but things could be worse.
