So one of the older ladies in this building asked me "how did your husband get my phone number, he's been calling me and nobody is supposed to have my number!! !" She said this in front of a large group of people, I called him and my husband and the lady started arguing over the phone, my husband denying he called her yesterday. My husband was trying to find her because she has a car and I was stuck somewhere and needed a ride, but he said he didn't call her in the phone. She told me to check my husband's phone history when I got home... He allowed me to and my husband was telling the truth, the phone records showed he only had two calls, me and the housekeeper which lined up with what he said.

So umm... Why would the lady start all this drama and call my husband a liar and make a scene for like no reason??? I'm VERY confused and I'm thinking about not hanging around these people anymore.

Possibilities:

1. So that your husband would would be perceived by your neighbors as "The Villain" for stalking and harassing her, instead of her being perceived as "The Villainess" for causing unnecessary trouble.

2. She mistook your husband for someone who is actually stalking and harassing her.

3. She's trying to deflect attention away from her for something she did wrong.

4. She's trying to attract attention and sympathy by pretending to be a victim.

5. She has some kind of "perceptive disorder" and can no longer distinguish between reality and delusion.

6. She's trying to stir up some excitement just for the hell of it.

These are my best guesses. What is really going on with her may be something else entirely.

Other option: it turned out it was her husband who answered phone, and person who called was someone else it turned out, her husband thought it was my husband.... She apologized.

Wow, she apologized for her mistake and for accusing your husband?

Not very many people apologize for their mistakes and will never admit they were wrong. I have gotten so used to people not ever apologizing for their mistakes I am now surprised when someone actually does apologize. I even forget what they even did because I got so used to it and it became so normal, I literally forget about the incident. Then I feel bad for not even remembering because I bet I would make them think "why even apologize if people forget anyway?" and then they never will apologize for their mistakes again thinking the other person might have forgotten anyway. Then when that person does actually remember and hold it against us, we then think "they have a grudge and they sure bring it up now when they didn't make it an issue before, they are such a troll because they didn't bring it up before when it bothered them and now they bring it up now?" and we cancel them thinking they are toxic because we don't need that BS in our life.

Aww. At least she apologised which is a big thing to do so she is a good person to do that when she made a mistake.
Don't worry about it. It is all sorted. Evrrything is fine.
And go and give your husband a cuddle... :)

I'm glad it was all sorted out, and glad she apologized. No villain here!
