What am I doing?

I rarely post on here, but this is one of those moments where I feel there is an absolute need. I'm 26 years old and currently living with my mom. It's not the best of situations, but we tend to get along most of the time. Every now an again, we may have one or two scuffles, a couple of small quarrels here and there, but it has gotten much worse over the past several months and it is at a breaking point. Most of the arguments appear to stem from me; usually I will end up saying something or reacting to a situation and it gets interpreted as anger. I have no idea why I am doing it or how to control it; normally what I say is never meant to come out as anger, but that's how it's being perceived. Is there anyone else who has been through a similar situation and could offer some guidance?

What sort of things do you say when you have an argument? What does your mother say?

So, the other day, my mom had made an appointment to be somewhere. I had an appointment scheduled for that same day, but it wasn't added it to the calendar (we use a calendar to keep track of what we're doing,). So, I came home, she told me the date and I had rushed over and said, "Oh, I need to change my appointment."

Now, my mom wasn't made aware of it, so maybe I was asking for it in this particular situation, but we have had similar arguments before and they'll usually end up the same way. She'll take my responses personal and tell me I am being reactive.

Why can't you record your appointment on the calendar, too?
