I am going through a tumultuous time at the moment, and I need assistance. I need someone tough on my side who can help me fight. My situation is such that I can't put here what I need to. The social services aren't helping. I need somebody tough who is independent.

Please get in touch with me if you, or if you know of someone that can help me IRL. Thank you.

Whatever it is, I’m sorry you’re going through what you’re going through.

I probably can’t offer practical help.....but I’d listen if you wanted to “talk,” and I’m around to “hear” you.

Maybe you could hire a lawyer

Some social services have low income lawyers

Thank you, I did not know that.

FTR I haven't ignored kraftie, we've been PMing.

I'm still looking for assistance everyone, I would be grateful if anyone knows of anyone who would help me.

I live in the UK and would perhaps offer my help, but I don't know what it is you're talking about.

I don't know about the UK landlord-tenant laws---but, at least in New York City, you could fight eviction quite well. You can go to court and make the landlord "show cause." Then you can "show cause" why you deserve to live in that apartment, and then the landlord must present his/her evidence. This process can take many months.

What sort of notice did you receive?

I'm sorry you're going through a tough time. You may have already contacted them, but the only resources I can think of are

Citizens advice

And

Shelter

I've used shelter for advice before and they were quite helpful.

Don't stop----that just might not be a bad idea. It might be even a better idea if she lived in a more rural area.

It's better to try and potentially "make a fool out of yourself" than not to try at all. It makes you a good person.

I've seemingly made an ass of myself at various times in my life----yet I proved the people who thought I was an ass wrong.....

I know many rural areas in Wales. But I don't know much about London.

Yikes!

Some quick Googling brought up the following links that might contain some useful info pertaining to relevant laws in the U.K. and how to fight evictions there:

- https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/housi ... -eviction/
- https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/housi ... on-notice/
- https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_ ... on_tenants

I'm not sure if these are relevant to your particular situation.
