I like autumn the most. Especially when it's just starting to transition into the colder months. That time where the leaves are beginning to alter in colour and twist inwards as they wither. I think that there's something almost hypnotic about how a leaf falls to the ground after spiralling around in the wind.
Also, I believe that maple seeds have a simple beauty to them. There's something peaceful about autumn to me, a sense of familiarity and comfort. I enjoy the contrast of red, yellow and brown leaves rotating around in the air against the grey sky.
However, I also like Spring. It is a close second of mine. There's just so much energy in the air around that time. I feel motivated and relaxed whenever I walk by restaurants with daffodils displayed on each table. The weather is mild, unlike in the depths of Winter.
Speaking of which, Summer and Winter are both difficult to deal with, albeit for the complete opposite reason.
In Summer, you don't feel like doing anything because it's too hot, and in Winter it's too cold and dark. However, it's easier to get warmer than it is to cool off. So I'll give Winter my vote before Summer. (Though I do enjoy Summer since it's a good time for swimming, bodyboarding and paddleboarding. Oh, and some of the wonderful flowers of course. Then again, some of the more resilient plant life that grows in Winter is also nice).
With all that said, I don't think that I would enjoy Winter as much without Summer (and vice versa) or Autumn and Spring without Summer and Winter.
