Let's assume God exists for those who don't believe, and he is like what is described as in Christianity. A major part of the "end times" theology in Christianity is that the world will keep becoming more and more corrupt until "he" returns here to end the world. Unfortunately I believe there is some truth there, because of how more authoritarian and police state-ish (that's part of it) the countries in the world got over the last 60 years ago alone. I'm even convinced of the possibility that it will be very soon in my lifetime.

I don't know why I made the thread title, I don't think God is really fair if it exists. I for one believe that he does anyway. I slowly lost my faith over 10 years. I guess just want to vent about it.

Oh, pardon if I seem incoherent. I try to talk about it but it's hard to sound coherent.

Man is inherently corrupt. The exception is choosing kindness, honestly, generosity, etc...

If man is inherently corrupt, a more corrupt world can only lead to further corruption.

Just my take, if it doesn't apply let it fly.

God is fair because it's about free will, God gives us to choice between loving him or leaving him because you can't force love. Our lesson on this world is that humanity can't govern itself and hence we need God, but because God can't force us to love him, our free will means that many will choose to abandon him, hence corruption in the world. This world presents an opportunity for God to single out his own, because if the world fails to corrupt us than God knows that we are his own, virtue can't exist without temptation.

But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. 1 Corinthians 11:3.

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:13-14

But please don't make the mistake that many people make in pinning mankind's failings on God. THis world is proof that humanity has no idea what it's doing. God is the onyl one that knows what he's doing, because he's our head, and that is the lesson that God is trying to give to us, we have NO idea what we're doing; we need him.

Wrong question.

The right question is: "Why do people become corrupt and turn away from God's plan?"
