Surprize dinner

It is a custom in Poland to visit cementaries today. I prepared myself to be in a crowdy place and to sleep at my inlaws' - but my husband's family invited us for "tea" that turned out to be a full dinner with sitting at full table and talking politics :shaky:
I'm below the line again, I hid in the basement and I stim... And tomorrow there is a planned dinner with other family

I know the feeling, Magz. It's a sucky feeling.

I wish you could be amongst people who are very much into science.

I'm hungry but I just can't go to the living room and socialize
I wonder if my husband would bring me some food here? But how to ask him without going there?

I guess....if you both have mobile phones...you could call him...

I told him I was hungry but scared. He brought me to the table. I couldn't use silverware, my hands didn't obey me.
I ate a little and went back to the basement but my ADHD daughter followed

I enjoy Polish food.

I skipped the other family dinner, went straight from cementery to train station. I'm going home, my husband stays with the kids at his family.
Good. Over a day of alone time. I need it very much right now.

Blah, a day alone at home and I didn't get much better :/ My mental health is poor again :/
I wish my husband didn't phone to describe a meltdown of our Aspie daughter. He asked her if she would read a little (she hates reading) and she freaked out. And then he phoned me to whine about how hard it is with her.
He rejects any suggestions on parenting skill training or parents' support group - but I can't carry the whole family on my broken psyche I'm not that strong.
