this home is not what it once was, late husband said , iwould be safe here..Am defo being gaslighted byneighbor lady and her crew ,, it is their way.People have been inside the house 2X when was not here.. but goal of gaslighting is to cause you emotional disress , to achieve bigger goal .. when you have bought something 2 x in 2 weeks ,, and they disappear from inside locked home.. and you recall this lady used to know where the hideakey was .. and you move it .. Then you realize someone is either good at picking your style of lock of has made a copy of the key. first time 2000 usd microbolometer was stolen and its eyepiece .. with a simple glue gun .. these items were not
misplaced am aware of having that possibly happen..so obvious contraints on placement of things like that are taken , in previous years small safe and all i.d. was taken including papers concerning deed to home. marriage, death birth certicates.. This recent round of stuff , just to cause you to doubt oneself has not worked . So need better security.. And put tremedous man hours into that end .. figuring if they have to physically break in , then police will have something more concrete...new deadbolt was inadequate. and being military ptsd person .. want to just cry or just catch them.. beat them with a stick. GIVING UP A FAMILY HOME CAUSE of evil neighbors and ineffective policing is just so sad. This home was here before any of these people were.. wanna be violent but its not me.
cannot bear to move but cannot stay......... So the falling snow tonight is oddly apropriate..
Oddly last winter thought my health woulda given out by now.. :(

It might be prudent to have a home security system installed, one with cameras, to keep an eye on your place at all times. Also trail cameras are improving their resolution and can be hidden almost in plain sight. Also it is a good idea to have motion sensor lights installed around your house. There are many security solutions available today that did not exist 10 years ago. You have a right to feel secure in your own home.

What about a dog? Maybe you would be eligible for a service dog provided by the armed services, for your PTSD. That might give them pause before entering your home again. I'm sorry you are going through this. We have a problem neighbor, though it's nothing to compare with what you have described. Ours lets their dogs crap in our yard and they were caught shoveling the dog poop into a little flower bed I had made, it bordered our yards. I've since been returning the poop to it's rightful owner. I throw it with a cooking spoon back into their yard.

TY you on dog idea gonna try to finish a fence first i think .. good on you for putting poop back where it came from .. :D

Thank you all on advise , security is 400 usd but will be good investment .
Previously they had other less intelligent druggies come and walkaround house sorting my sensors and cameras. when was not home , which cause of issues can occurr several times a week. caught them at it 2 x, police just warned them. After they use same druggies over and over, then tell them to stayaway.SO POLICE do not catch on. sorry on use of druggie word. :(
