See, over a year ago my uncle got ahold of some of my important papers out of a car he helped me to junk, including my birth certificate. He refused to give them back...

Jump to now. The new apartments needs to see my birth certificate before creating the lease...... My uncle lives close to the apartments and he even showed me the birth certificate over video chat, claiming he was going to go to the apartments and show it to the manager... But he keeps on coming up with excuses as to why he can't make it over there....

What do I do??? When I fight with him, family takes his side and I can't win. I have no transportation to get a new copy of my birth certificate, I was born in a different county not near here.... There is a way to get it rush mailed but it's expensive I think... I have a picture of my certificate I sent to the apartments but it wasn't good enough... Arrrggghhh I know he's trying to manipulate again or trying to be in control or give me anxiety but I didn't think he could be this cruel... I am having a visit from one of my mental health workers tomorrow and maybe they have an idea...

Sigh... It's been almost a week now I've been waiting for my uncle to do that...

If he left the original with them, make sure they give it back to YOU!

You should request a copy of your birth certificate from the county you were born in that way you also have a copy then you won't have to rely on your uncle for that again.
