I'm glad you're doing better, Angnix!
Personally, the area around Jackson was never any place where I wanted to live -- working there was bad enough. Almost everyone I met had a kind of "Prison-Guard" mentality that passed their perceptions of strangers and the mentally ill through filters of mistrust, suspicion, and thinly-veiled hostility.
I tried cashing my first paycheck from a new employer there, and received an interrogation from a bank teller that would have made J. Edgar Hoover proud. I'm told that Ionia is the same way.
Both places host state-run prisons.
