I’ve had a really rough stretch lately. Recently, I saw something about how not only were a couple stuck in separate countries, but that they were expecting a child and the father couldn’t be there for the birth of his child and perhaps the first several months of the baby’s life because they were engaged, but not married. That, and worries about the vaccines being screwed up. Sorry to be political on the haven but what might happen if Trump gets re-elected, since he’s already screwed up the COVID response when it first started spreading. It’s led to thoughts of suicide in a few years if things don’t get much better. I just can’t handle the thought of our lives never being the same again. It’s bad enough that we have to live this way right now.

Things will get much better, I believe.

The thing with the couple sounds like a fake, since they should have had non-stop return-flights all over the planet. Maybe they're from different nations?
I was stuck in a small village in Panama somewhere in the mountains away from normal civilisation and they still got me back to Swiss, even if it was a bit difficult. It was at the time of the complete lock-down. And in Panama you would go to jail if you leave the house. So it was a very satisfying adventure, to leave the house without permission. I even made it to Canada already again. lol
Most airports should be open again. So the story makes no sense.

Anyway...

What exactly would you like to change back to normal? What does it make you to have difficulties to deal with?

I know in the US people go crazy. But I can confirm, that the life is very "normal" in Swiss for example, and that since a while now. US in the news is more of a reality-show for us europeans, so I'm sorry for you, if you have to live there. But I doubt that it won't change soon enough. It's going to change for sure.

1. One quick search and it actually looks like some restrictions are starting to be lifted in many countries. I refuse to look any further tho for the sake of my emotional health.

2. I don't want to wear masks anymore.

I don't want social distancing to be a thing anymore

I want there to be concerts

I want fans at sporting events

I want to be able to go to events where it's easier for me to meet people

I want to be able to get my own cup and scoop my own toppings at orange leaf

To name a few.

3. Yes, I'm in the US. Where Donald Trump is president and there's a chance he will be for another 4 years.

Yeah....me too!

I want those things, too, as well as a President other than Trump.

I had just started watching a new episode of "What Would You Do" and I had to stop watching after 15 seconds because I was picturing the father of the baby in the video being stuck in another country because of this pandemic.
