More unpleasant medical tests... Help!! !

Ummm... Tomorrow I have a sleep study... Oh lord I looked that up... Friday is the gyno appointment... Ummm... Yeah, then I have a knee MRI then find out on Tuesday if I need knee surgery... Fun...

What is the sleep study for? I remember having a sleep study done for insomnia and being told by the technician to just "go to sleep" which if I could sleep on demand I wouldn't have needed to have a sleep study done lol. I think if you just need an MRI for your knee you wouldn't need to have your head stuck in the machine which is really loud and claustrophobic from my memories of having them done though they give you ear plugs anyway(still loud).
