over the years, i have worked in banks and other man made jobs
i played their game of materialism
i have been married
i have had a go at conforming
none of it made me happy
and i never fitted in
i like most of us
are born to freedom
its just the exploiters of this world
that need to box us in
forgive them for they do not know what they do...
be happy
This is well said and expresses a lot of what I felt/feel as well.
To the OP:
I think I was in my mid to late forties when I realized that I had had enough trying to fit in and was just gonna be the me I was meant to be. Welcome to other side

The grass really is greener. I hope you find it so as well.
