They Changed the Turn on My Commute to Work
There is a turn I make every morning on my way to work, that had two right turning lanes. If you choose the left-most turning lane you have to wait for the green arrow because you are not allowed to make a right on a red in that lane, if you choose the right-most lane you can go whenever it is clear. Most people prefer the right lane. I always chose the left-most lane because it was the least stressful, and it was easier to get into the lane I need to be in once I make the turn.
They changed it though, for some reason now it's only one lane, and it merges, so there's no light and you can't stop there and turn when it's clear, you just keep going and you have a certain amount of time to merge. There is another route that I take sometimes that does this but instead of merging it becomes a turning lane, and when there's heavy traffic I would just make the turn and get back onto the road at the next light. I know that sounds crazy and tedious but that's how stressful merging into traffic is for me, I'd rather go the long way.
They ruined the route I was most comfortable and familiar with, and this AFAIK is the fastest way to work. Either I have to just get used to this now or learn another route. I can't really talk about this with people IRL they'll think I'm crazy. I didn't drive myself to work this morning so I didn't have to deal with it this morning, but I'm going to be stressing out about this all weekend.
