So my boss half a year ago went on a power trip and said “I need you to sign something” and I did. I signed twice in a booklet. She then left the booklet on her desk. Later I picked it up and saw that it was putting her mums money in a trust, I skimmed about half of it and decided it looked legit. She explained to me it was putting her mums money in a trust. Apart from rare power trips she was a good boss and a good person. I shouldn’t be worried right?

Sorry if not coherent it’s late and I’ve got this on my mind

Why would she need your signature on it?

I don't think being a witness is dangerous.

That depends on the skills of the lawyers/solicitors challenging the legality/validity of the Trust Decree.

First I am assuming the trust is set up using her Mums money? Was her Mum there? Did her Mum agree? Was it explained to you before you sign? Here in the UK a doctor has to sign such a document who can vouch that her Mum has a mental condition that she is not able to look after her own affairs before she can set up a trust using her Mums money, unless her Mum herself was there and in a sound mind to agree to it.
You would be signing to vouch that you know her Mum personally and that her Mum is not mentally able to look after her own affairs. So you would have to know her Mum and the family to do this or it could be the daughter is attempting to steal her Mums savings? (I am theorizing here).
If it seems wrong, it maybe an idea to go and have a chat to someone who knows more about the legality of it.
