I'm really unwell at the moment. I don't have the dreaded virus, but I do have some sort of viral thing and I'm not getting better. There's nothing drs can give you for viruses. You just have to rest and eat healthy food.

I'm finding work really difficult. I'm so tired and my head hurts all of the time. My nose is stuffed up. I'm a programmer, which requires a lot of concentration and I'm working from home, so it's really difficult not to just sit on the sofa with a cup of tea and not do any work.

I'm mananging to coast by without anyone noticing I'm not doing much work.

I've just had a week holiday. I managed to go for a few walks and get some fresh air, but I'm still feeling ill, even with that week off and a chance to relax.

I'm just fed up. Feeling really down and lonely.

Still feel bad. That's why I've not been online. My eyes have been really sore. I've been listening to audio books in bed.

I had to put my computer on yesterday to pay a couple of bills, but just doing that wiped me out, no way I'm ready to go back to work.

I'm less feverish though, which is good. I've stopped feeling dizzy and sick too. So I'm getting better, slowly.

Thanks for asking.

Have you consulted a doctor, hurtloam? I had a bladder infection last month and didn't recognize the symptoms because I was focused on covid, but that tested negative. I had an ongoing fever and felt really crummy. Finally went in to urgent care, they diagnosed the bladder infection, a couple days later with antibiotics I was really much better (but finished the antibiotic anyway).

My point, at least call your doctor and ask the nurse what they think. It could be something that just gets better with medication?

I've been to the Dr so many times not feeling well. I get feverish a lot. Very tired. They do blood tests, which show nothing unusual. I've been for scans. Nothing unusual.

They always say it's just something viral and there's nothing they can do. One Dr suggested I look into my diet. I went to see a nutritionist, but she couldn't see any issues. I do eat quite a varied, healthy diet.

My Drs surgery are very anti giving people antibiotics unless they can see puss. IE infected tonsils. They even have posters up saying that they won't give you antibiotics for viral infections.

Thanks. I've made a big pot, with home made bone broth too.

I know it's frustrating when you feel like you're sick all the time.

I bet the soup is delicious!

I'm still ill. I'm so run down I have developed a UTI now.

<sarcasm>Yey! </sarcasm>

That means I can have antibiotics now! Hurrah.

I've just found out today that if you think you have a UTI you can go to the pharmacy. You don't need a Drs appointment for a prescription.

This is common practice. Antibiotics don't work on viral infections... they're for bacterial infections.

This sounds very frustrating to have this go on for so long; hopefully the meds will make you feel better.

I know. It's amazing how many people don't know that and tell me to go to the dr when I've got a virus

The thing is I think there has also been something else wrong with me. So if there is, hopefully antibiotics will help.

This is sounding kinda chronic , might consider a infectious disease doctor, and full blood work up .
Looking for any thing that could cause a long term infection , UTI are common hopefully you felt alittle better after getting it treated .. Failing all that You might seriously consider looking up a Natropathic doctor . (Pardon my spelling) . But have seen them treat things normal MDs. Cannot get a handle on . Not saying they are necessarily miracle workers but have seen them revive some pretty serious cancer patients back to a full life .
Just my humble Opinion . Hope you feel better soon.
