What does reporting self harm on twitter do?

There's a boy on my twitter feed I really want to get help.

He keeps expressing violent desires to harm himself and kill himself.

I feel really bad for him.

I would report it cos it's against the rules but I think not having the outlet is a bad thing. Not having somewhere to express himself.

I wish that reporting it would get him the help he needs.

Idk what else to do.

Maybe try calling the suicide hotline for advice on how to get him help? My guess is that Twitter would most likely just suspend his account, and treat it as no different than if he was harassing others, though that is my guess about them just having a blanket TOS policy.

I think I might do that.

I don't know him irl. I hope someone in his real life knows what's going on in his mind.

But it's sad to see anyone go through that, esp someone so young. He's only 16.
