My real name is actually . . . Dave. Really. Not David. The only people who call me David are authority figures who are not to be trusted. If you call me David once and if I like you I'll correct you.
Thus "True Dave". My birth certificate reads D-A-V-E.
Imagine being born BOB instead of Robert. It's like that.
I've never met another REAL Dave. So I guess"there can be only one"
Also it reminds me a little of the country song "A boy named Sue" for some reason.
I wondered why I was named thus. My father isnt around to ask. I think it has less to do with a biblical name than his favorite TV show as a kid, Davey Crockett.
