Since I've been feeling depressed again I feel like my ADHD is at its worst. When I'm watching a movie my mind keeps on zoning out and I miss a few minutes of the movie.
And usually when I lay down to go to sleep I put an audiobook on and it clears my mind, but at the moment my mind keeps trailing off and not focusing on the audiobook. Then I'm distracted by focusing on trying to focus.
Same with reading. My mind trails off and I have to keep rereading a whole paragraph again because I wasn't taking it in.

I don't normally get this at all but I think I get it when I'm depressed (not stressed or anxious). I only get depressed when certain things trigger me, like being reminded that I'm a hopeless case by my peers reaching some milestones I may never get to do because of my stupid brain.
How can I get my mind to focus on the things I enjoy?

My depression makes it very hard for me to focus even though I don't have ADHD. It can be very frustrating and it's hard not to feel distressed about it. Try not to beat yourself up over it. Enjoy what you can, even if it's something here and there.
