Literally.

If you're in my position... middle class with nice green areas around you (or heck urban/rural working class) and a bunch of free time and being overwhelmed by social media in all its forms from 'the world is a scary place' to 'I will never be able to go to the shops again' to 'I hate everyone on social media they are all stupid'...

Go outside and have a picnic or get your bubble friend/family member/housemate to go out with you and play a board game or go for a walk. In a green area with actual grass or on a beach.

Your mental health will benefit.

Saying that as someone who's been cooped up for weeks & who's just gone out & kept normal hours today & it's been great :)

Obviously this won't cure all ailments, it's not a pancea and it's not available to everyone. But... it's available for some and it's worth taking if you can.

You are right. I am improving slowly as I am both going out for drives, and going up in our field and most of the time I am resting in the shade of our old summerhouse. It does make a difference.

I don't want to go in shops other then a small shop I can get out of quick if I have to. (I am scared incase I have a shutdown in a shop as I am hyper alert when in shops. I can't go in supermarkets as if I start having a partial shutdown I have a long way to go to get out, and due to their one way covid systems, they have become no go areas for me, as if I can't get out in time and shut down, I have no way of recovering without having repeated shutdowns as if anyone assumes I have fainted or tries to get me to talk when pulling out of a shutdown, I will go into repeat shutdown mode..).

So I try to avoid shops, and even my Mum can't go into some larger shops, so we are stuck on where to go shopping if we can't travel.

Flying kites is my favorite way to go touch grass.
:D
I'll bet you are now saying that you would have never guessed that.

If one spends all one's life on the Internet, one becomes so distorted that they become unrecognizable to their "real-life" friends.

Yep....get out there in the parks! Take a walk. Talk to real people. You'll find that most people aren't like those dickheads on the Internet who want to prevail in all arguments.
