After a brief forray into the legal workings of name change, I found that it would surprisingly...easy? That can't be right. Anyway, after thinking and consultation, I've decided to go with Gabriel Alexander, which sounds awesome. This, however, leaves one small trifle to deal with. I need a middle name now, and I'm not going with not having one. I will take any suggestions, no matter how ridiculous. I can have some fun with this one.

Gabriel Michael Alexander
Gabriel Adrian Alexander
Gabriel Ethan Alexander
Gabriel Marc Alexander
Gabriel Vincent Alexander
Gabriel Xavier Alexander

...something a little stuffy so that when you get old and rich you have the name to go with it.

Gabriel Quest you could even personalise the spelling , i like the name quest ( but its not me who has to use it ) smacks of mystique and the noble adventurers of the past .

Vincent... I'm intrigued. Michael is too common, Adrian I don't care for, Ethan is the vulture that ate Prometheus' liver every day, Marc is also too common, and Xavier sounds too cool for school. But Vincent I like.

Curio-What does 'Mc' mean, entymologically(that's one of the longer words I've ever used. 15 letters...) speaking?

How about your mum's maiden name? That's the name I used at school.. but I had to use my real name for exam certificates. The teachers kept going "who's this new girl on my list?"

I agree.

Because I have trouble pronouncing some consonants in my surname, I sometimes use another family name "Wilson" so that I don't have to spell out my last name.

If you don't like your mother's maiden name, what about other family names, like your Grandmother's maiden name.

Mc is a Scottish prefix, meaning son of. So McDonald means son of Donald. Likewise "O" and "Fitz" is Irish. O'Donald is son of Donald and Fitzpatrick is son of Patrick.

in the Danish countries they have Odinsdotter as well as Ericsson. . .

"Irish names are often proceeded by Mc or Mac (both meaning 'son of'), O (meaning 'of' or 'grandson of'), Ni or Nic (both meaning 'daughter of'). Names of variant spellings generally have the same root clan and coat of arms as their origin. For example: O'Mahoney, Mahoney, Mahanay, Mahonay, McMahoney, etc. all derive from the same root name Mahoney and where this name is most commonly found with a prefix (O or Mac, etc.) it is shown in the Gallery as such. Example: Ahearne and Ahearn derive from the same root. Example: Redmond, MacRedmond, O'Redmond, NiRedmond and McRedmond all derive from the same root."
