I really need someone to talk to, and they seem like the best option, but... I'm terrified of telephone conversations. I can't cope with them at all. Does anyone know if there is any other way of contacting them, such as an IM service, or something like that?

do you mean a particular person, or just anyone sympathetic

edit - doh!!

I get it, the Samaritans are an organisation. Right. I'm guessing that would be like the equivalent to "lifeline" here in Australia.

Sorry, don't know anything about the Samaritans, but there can be helpful people here.

Yes, Bazza. Samaritans, I think, concentrates more on suicide prevention though.

I'm going off line, so don't be offended if I don't reply for a bit.

Well, in the end, I did it. I picked up the phone and talked and talked and talked. Also, I blew my nose and cried a hell of a lot. I feel a little better now... well, maybe not *better*... the misery refinery inside of me is still working at top speed... but the silos have been emptied for now.

Do not blaspheme! :x Mel Gibson is not an Australian. Not anymore, IMNSHO. If you want good Aussie actors, look at Hugh Jackman or Eric Bana.

Anyway, I am glad you got something done by calling Samaritans, violentcloud. :)

Ah, but this is not Mel Gibson, deranged maniac. This is Mad Max, err... deranged maniac with a conscience? Even if you can't take pride in the actor, you can certainly take pride in the film. The character is pretty darned good, too.

Hmm, this was supposed to be about VC's difficulties, not Mad Max. Keep it in random. Shame on you MODS.

I wasn't the one who brought it up. Anyway, violentcloud's feeling a little better, and hopefully he will improve.
