I had allergy testing sometime in the 90s. They put a row of allergen droplets along my inside arm and scratched the skin deep with an instrument on purpose. Some stung more than others.

Put a loose-ish rubber band around your wrist and when you're feeling like you want to hurt yourself, snap the rubber band on the inside of your wrist as hard as you like. Stings, but there's no permanent damage.
