I have been hospitalized three times since December 29th.
E.R., SICU,two different observation floors.
Every test I ever heard of; I’m home, limited activity, SIX pills a day!

I have worked full time at my job for over ten years.
I got ONE call from a co-worker, no get well card at all, no good wishes on email.
I am surprised how much that hurts.

Oh my, that would have a sense of abandonment to it.

I have been pretty much in the same position.
Disappointing, but what can you do?

Sad to hear and you're not alone.

I think my sister asked my mother how I was several months later after being decently envenomed by a brown snake 4 years ago, lol (my mother told her at the time); she didn't talk to me either several months later. I don't talk to her at all normally, but she had some cancer scare a year ago, and I spoke to her in an e-mail and gave her my expert autistic medical opinion on the matter at the time, and I was likely caring because I'm like that (yeah, I was right, but maybe it was a lucky guess). This has happened numerous times to me all the same when it comes to severe things.

Kinda used to it. Which makes me mentally latch onto those that do things for me in bad situations, because I appreciate it more than I can communicate.

I am so sorry as I can't imagine what you must be going through but if I were in your situation, I would be very hurt that your colleagues didn't acknowledge your situation. However, it sounds like you have one of them who cares about you.

Unfortunately, this is the result of people living in poor communtiies, where socially currency is low and people don't even follow the rules of good will & giving.

It is a detrimental attitude towards community health that has sent an entire nation insane during the past 20 years, in the United Kingdom, at least.

BTW, I don't give <hugs> to just anyone.
Consider yourself very lucky if one comes your way. 8)
