Yes. If all you see is darkness, it's all you see; if all you feel is negativity, it's all you feel. That's been mostly me for decades, underneath the facade of an optimistic shell, though the hell easily broke through and you could see it with my words and actions, where most were there to isolate myself, because what you see and feel tends to be what you like. Emotional self-harm. I didn't want, allow myself to see the brightness and positivity. Even if we don't have the full say, we do have a say over what we see and feel each day.
I still feel mostly dead, but I know and feel a little that I'm alive.
