He's more than a jerk. He's a criminal.

Have you called the police?  Have you seen a doctor?  Please do not let this monster get away with it!

Neverforget a lady who was a little younger then I am where I used to work. She had gone to the same secondary school that I did. She had a boyfriend, and one day she came into work with a black eye, and we were all concerned as she said he had hit her. At the end of the day he came to collect her from work and he had two black eyes! I said "Come on. Tell me what really happened!" She said they had argued soshe hit him (And it was quite a hit to do that!) He was obviously not taking that (She was quite a big muscular lady) and he hit her back causing her black eye. Because of this she hit him again in the other eye and really caught him hard! All I could do was shrug my sholdres. She was in no way a victim. It was the other way around!
I suggested that they both cool down and sort things out as she was sometimes hot headed. Still a nice person though and so was her boyfriend. Just they needed to calm down a bit between them. She did actually need someone to stand up to her as she could easily have become a bully in a relationship as she was one who needed a man who could show here that she needed to back down on occasions. She was headstrong!

But going back to Earthbound Alien. It obviously was not working out. Sometimes it does not. Not sure what happened between you both and only you and he knows that. Best advice I can give is to forgive and move on... But before this, did you do something which made him angry? Sometimes people take things the wrong way and are hurt. Is not normal for things to get physical on a date (Not that way physical) so something was up.

Absolutely yes. Please stay away from him.

Is there someone trustworthy that can do this for you if you're not able to right now?

Don't trust anyone you "meet" online. They could be a serial killer for all you know. Don't trust people you meet offline, either. They have to prove that they are trustworthy first.

So, never trust anyone ever?

They have to prove they are worthy of your trust first before you trust them. And it also helps if they give off good vibes. Don't trust those who give off bad vibes.
