Feel like I've wasted life because of COVID
I seem to be feeling bad that during the height of the pandemic I wasn't going out as much even after I had 3 vaccine boosters and it wasn't until last summer that I became less afraid of going out and interacting with people again without masking up. But there was someone who didn't want to get vaccinated, didn't believe COVID was a thing and decided to go about her life whether or not she gets sick and she had told me she had got sick but recovered. It makes me feel why wasn't I as brave as someone like her to carry on with life despite a deadly virus on the run? Its making me feel like all I did waste two years of life because I was afraid of COVID making me seriously ill before I had the vaccine and even after being vaccinated despite the fact that most people survived the disease than all die from it even it has killed millions until eventually caught it myself. It was horrible but I wasn't coughing up blood or being put on a ventilator than I feared it would do but by then I had already had 3 jabs. I feel like I hate myself sometimes being anxious and not being brave as other people.
Don't ever put yourself down about that! You did not waste your life by being cautious of covid. You were actually following the rules and guidelines, and were probably afraid of passing it on to more vulnerable people as well as yourself. That's what the public was told to do, and at the time everyone except the conspiracy believers were scared and being cautious (and even a lot of the conspiracy believers were afraid of catching covid at the peak of the pandemic).
So you have done nothing wrong. Not a thing. Please don't beat yourself up about this. You're a good person.
*Hugs*

Are you going to beat yourself up, or start making up for lost time?
You should run with the latter like a fireman.
