Having heard from some people explaining to me how they still managed to do things such as getting on a flight to somewhere different in the world on their own or going to a great music festival on their own makes it feel bad for not actually "doing it" anyway in order to find out whether I would like it or not and instead I end up not going to these places and events. It makes it seem as though I'm wasting life when I do like to do these things and I have been abroad and to concerts before but only with the family and never friends as I have few friends but I will still choose not to go on my own initiative to go all by myself. I mean why is this ? Is it because I've never done it before on my own and to do it on my own intimidates me ? I wouldn't know how to use the foreign currency or not know how to speak the language when interacting with people abroad?

Have you considered that you enjoy having someone else' company when travelling or going to events so you tend to only do so with others?

Bottom line with all of these very similar threads: If you are doing things you want to do and are enjoying yourself, then you're not wasting your time. If there are things you want to do and enjoy that you're not doing, do those things and enjoy them. Posing extremely similar questions over and over again is not going to change any of these very basic facts.
