As I've mentioned in other posts, the new GE Reveal™ light bulbs give off natural white light, which isn't as good as the artificial sunlight lamps, but works well enough to help reset your biological clock and keep down on eyestrain.
Also, a good audio book helps me. Music is difficult to sleep to, as there are often memories, sometimes unpleasant ones, tied to it which get drudged up to the surface when you hear it again. Talk radio or audio books, however, don't have the memories of anything distressing tied to them. I mean, how often do you listen to an audio book outside of trying to sleep or relaxing on a trip?
There are also several anime which I recommend to watch at night while in bed:
•Azumanga Daioh
•Crest of the Stars/Banner of the Stars/Banner of the Stars II
•A.D. Police
•Gundam Wing
•InuYasha
•Bleach
•.hack//SIGN
•Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water
•GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka)
•Blue Gender
•Fist of the North Star
