Turned 32 yesterday.

Ended up going out with Flakey and Flakey's ex-girlfriend and our roomate who she seems to be dating.

I seem to do a WHOLE lot better when it is just me and Flakey. I wanted to not invite them, but then got worried that Flakey would be bored with just me...which is stupid...we usually have a great time just by ourselves....My anxiety at having people along culumnated in my intermittantly putting my fingers in my ears to stifle the sounds of giggling in the back seat....and then reading a book at the dinner table in the sushi resturaunt...my anxiety dissipated once I got food in my stomach and some alkyhol in me....

But after we get chocolate martinis....I was too depressed and anxious to go to the movie...after storming out of the bar to go wait by the car.

instead we went to ANOTHER bar...I very drunkenly promised the bar owner's daughter a sock monkey and really plan on following through...perhaps today

Then we went to still yet ANOTHER bar...(looking for an old friend of mine who works there)...and there was the old bead man from whom I drunkenly bought a necklace for 20 dollars...and gave him an extra five....(hopefully not more)

After that things got pretty blurry..I am happy we made it home ok and happy i did not have too bad of a meltdown despite my depressed-ness..

If it did, I don't remember.

Geeze, I can't believe that was just 4 days ago!

But for some reason, I omitted the gigantic party that was thrown at SHFL on the previous Saturday (the 18th)...that was the Leo party....which happens every year, conspicuously close, if not on my actual birthday...Tons of bands and people and i make special limited edition Leo t-shirts every year and all the Leos get one..(and lots of non-leos too)...and....Leo's get in free and theres cake and prizes and and vegetarian chili...and potluck....so that was my real birthday party...and I actually had fun then (though i was sorta working..and I would probably not have had as much fun if I wasn't working)...Whenever I get extroverted (happy in social setting), I start giving random things away to people....and i was doing that.

I should have said that was that and not even bothered to do anything on my acutal birthday..

The point of the Leo party is to provide an alternative to a potentially crappy birthday experience
and lots of people seemed like they had a good time.

Today, in somewhat stark contrast, we went to the Outback steakhouse for Flakey's sister's birthday.
We were only there for an hour, and I didn't eat very much, but by the time we were almost ready to leave, I wound up feeling dizzy and tired and sick....I am as stiff as a board around Flakey's family..part of it was nerves..part of it was the food and being confined in a chair surrounded by a bunch of people who think I am strange....with a baby screeching...and smalltalk...etc..etc....i went into this state between sickness and comatose.

I thing I might even underestimate the level of anxiety I experience...I didn't feel outwardly anxious...but in the end my heart was beating rapidly and I was very dizzy....took me a bit to recover.
I think I am allergic to chain resturaunts.
