Should you just do it, if you are comparing yourself ?

What I mean is, is the simple answer to just work towards doing something that someone else is doing that you are comparing yourself to ? Should I just go to a gym anyway even if I don't want to, should go down to a bar on a Saturday night on my own anyway if I am feeling sometimes lonely when I am at home even though I may still end up being on my own when I am there ?

I have found myself comparing to others and yet for some reason it's not motivating me to want to be like them in terms of the career or job they are doing. It's more the status I envy rather than the job they are doing. I seem to think there are probably lots of other people who feel the same as me and still want to make themselves look like a Kardashian or someone when they don't like something about their looks for example.

The surest way to unhappiness is to constantly compare yourself to others. If you learn how to not do that, you'll be more content, if not happy.

If comparing yourself to others doesn't motivate you to do something, that's telling you that you are doing something for the WRONG reasons. Try doing something solely for yourself and see if that makes a difference.
