I have wasted the time between age 17-27. How can I regain control of my life again

I pondered the same question.

I spent my entire 20s trying to play keep up, in ways most people thought how -- despite knowing better that whatever I subjected myself into, is hugely based on what most people assumed to be a solution or help to "my problem", actually doesn't apply to the root of my issue that hindered me so that I knew it exists yet people dismissed.

Nevermind the decades long of habits coping with all of that, instead of cutting the whole thing loose -- thus, spending more time trying to unlearn said behaviors from coping all of that.

Closest thing I get was more or less like a vow to start again when I turned 30, and just my turn back and leave from whatever time I wasted on behind.

Even if attaining the emotional liberation from reeling from lost time, there's a lot of unlearning and relearning.
Be it emotional, mental, physical... Residual habits and patterns.

So many old adages relate to this, keeping them in mind is the issue ." Tomarrow is the first day for the Rest of Your Life.". Early 30s maybe late teens wrestled with this . And all my Peers wanted me to spent weekends some evening getting drunk with them. Even later on had seen this in perr groups . I knew this pattern, No one had interest in my bettering myself ( or apparently themselves either) It was their programming . Could not do that yo myself no matter how much it allowed me to feel part of my peer group. Could not get a leg up , so yo college I went , community college back then . And that did not help my aspieness at all or create peers. And so I needed to commit myself yo growth/ education. So detoured to a trade school . It was a difficult time in my head. But I knew that I needed something , and with my disabilities, was able to learn some nursing refresher, Tried that again . Nope needed different direction, but was saving every dime on everything ,I could .Vommitted my self to the electronics repair techician work. And found it was relatively easy for me. So freelance home electronics repair. this was before computers made their debut. And did that as a freelancer .. Saved sll the money I could from that, bought me a cheap home did repairs and so I hhad a life. Became my very own coffee coneissure (,pardon spelling ).Met some people and had hood vompany.
But it takes friggin drive to push through that first starting part . And if this doesnt apply to your post, please excue and
ignore if necessary.
