With all the stress of having to call this place and that place and go to Social Services, and being hungry and having to go eat, and having to eat more because I was still hungry, and havign to brush my teeth twice and wash my face, and reorganize all my papers to find the phone numbers and get everything in order, I missed my appointment with my shrink! I was looking forward to seeing him all week and now I'll have to wait until next week probably! I was dying to ask him about support groups at the hospital for depressed people and people with AS! And I was dying to ask him for PROPER testing before he slapped the AS label on me again! And I was dying to ask him for a better antidepressant! And I was dying to show him that I'm not always a snivelling idiot with a pervasive developmental disorder! Now I'll have to WAIT! I can't stand this! I've been waiting for things all my life! At least 8 years of just waiting and hoping and getting patient/lazy. :(

If you don't have any hobbies or sports that you're good at, you might want to start some. I do one of each. The sport is especially helpfull for when I'm angry about something (such as at myself, after having done something that I regretted), while the hobby is good because I can always strive to progress in it without having to leave the house. You may not see the relevance in these yet, but that's because you have to experience it. The sport especially has something beneficial to it. I can't explain what it is, but having done it for 5 years, I know it's there. Yesterday I missed the first half of my appointment because of an unexpected traffic backup due to roadwork and then also missing the exit for it because I was too busy trying to safely drive fast and not get a speeding ticket. My appointment previous to this one was two weeks prior, so I was really angry that I had missed so much of this one. Afterwards, mid way during the 50 mile drive back home, I stopped at a municipal park and did my sport for an hour before continuing home. Today, I solved a couple of problems in my hobby that had been frusterating me for the past week. No pharmaceuticals necessary.
