A part of me feels "what's the point anymore?"

There is a part of me that feels like giving up because because I seem to find myself restricted to meeting new people or potential partners who might be younger than me because I'm worried of being seen as a weirdo hanging out with people younger than me.
I'm feeling as though the more people of my generation (millennials/zillennials) are in or getting into their 30s, the most likely they are to be married with kids and I'm becoming a minority.

I also feel like there is not much to look forward to because all hear is very bleak and bad news in this country and the world because of wars going on or in this country, prices and things going up and feels like nothing has gotten better since the pandemic. I feel frustrated because I bought a new charger for my Chromebook which still is temperamental with charging and now I'm just sat here waiting for it to fully charge leaving me with little to do.

You seem to be pretty busy posting new threads in the haven when you could be out in the pub or socializing in some other way.

I am resigned to being on my own for the rest of my life as relationships totally overwhelm me.

Some of your recent threads here and in Love and Dating are very similar. I wonder if you could post more in the same threads, like expand on ideas instead of starting new ones. Just an idea because otherwise people keep on giving the same advice/feedback, and I’m not sure if it’s helping you.

Sometimes you have to find "a point".
Like you can either just do nothing or do something

Depending on the person, I think sometimes it’s a good idea to back away from the news. I need to do that when my anxiety is bad. There’s a lot of awful things going on in the world, but there still are good things, too. We all deserve to be happy or as happy as we can be. Easier said than done, though.

That’s what I think life is about: finding happiness and purpose - whatever those things look like for you. There’s no single right answer.
