I want to delete myself, but I'm afraid that dying will be painful.

What should I do?

I don't know if it would be painful, but I do think it would be tragic. The world just keeps harder to live in for so many of us and it seems to be worsening rapidly. So much injustice and the darker forces usually seem to be the ones getting ahead. We really need all of the decent and empathetic people in it that we have to stick around.

I'm sure you have purpose here and value to others you cross paths with. Even though a lot of us are isolated and alone, we do have some solidary and camaraderie in facing similar challenges, if nothing else.

I'm sorry that life is feeling like too much and hope some of your burdens lift soon.

I'm not sure how to answer your question other than to suggest maybe that you try as hard as you can to find hope wherever you can and, even if you can't, just keep getting through the days for a while and taking care of yourself (physically, emotionally, etc.) as best you can. At some point, I do think things may get to where they don't feel quite as bleak, especially the longer you keep going.

Don't. There are good seasons in life that come after the bad ones. We need to head through the bed seasons to reach the good.

Think of a ship when storms come. The captain of the ship needs to head straight on into the storm and maintain direction to stand a chance of getting through. If the captain alters course the ship can end up lost and vulnerable.

Yes, there are times to harbour from the storms to do some ship repairs. Times when one is ready to go but one must wait. Wait for repairs to be finished and wait for supplies to be replenished! Waiting can be hard!

But storms and seasons come and go as part of the adventure in life. To scupper ones ship means one will miss out on the very reason why one was given life. The adventures that are yet to come!

Be brave and face the storm and plough right through!

I have never had a girlfriend in my entire life. No woman has ever wanted to date me in over 20 years of adult life. And now I'm too old to meet anyone who isn't already a grandmother. So no, there are no good seasons coming. Not for me.

I wonder how fast I can eat myself to death. I'm in America, so I might as well use that to my advantage. How much fast food will it take to give myself a massive coronary?

What is your current age? It's never too late to meet someone. The best way for that to happen is to find girls with similar special interests. In my experience and that of others, having mutual interests is a keystone to a relationship.

Definitely not through dating sites or noisy clubs.

It's too late to meet anyone I'd want to date. And all the women I meet that way are always already married.

Dedicate that energy to slowly changing the things that make you want to delete. Maybe figure out everything that sucks, and slowly start changing it. For example, if you don't like that you have trouble socializing, then develop a method to figure out what the trouble with socializing is, develop a plan to change or accommodated and remedy those things, then enact the plan while making adjustments from the lessons learned.

Age is no reason not to start with something new. We have quite a number of chronologically challenged members (yours truly included!) Don't let atheists try and say otherwise.

Personality and character matter to most women, who don't see age or looksof primary importance.

Getting old does suck though sometimes mate but fast food!

I heard that if you eat too much fast food you start craving carrots. That's why I don't like it

I wish you all the best and I hope you change your mind on this

Have you ever been diagnosed with, or been treated for depression? It sounds like you are experiencing some sort of depression and we don't really have the details of your particular case.

On one hand, I'm a virgin with no experience in how to please a woman. On the other, I'm at an age when things don't work like they used to.

Yeah I know what that feels like but for different reasons to be honest

It's like your body doesn't do what your mind wants it to do

Sometimes I think you're mind and your body ages at different rates

It's is frustrating and it's no wonder you're feeling like you are

Problem is that I don't have anything in common with people my own age, and the people I do have stuff in common with are significantly younger than me. When I try to hang out with them I feel like some old weirdo prevent.
