Hi yall,

I am sad because one of my elderly family members who I was real close to passed away recently. I struggle with lots of sadness over it. Its really hard. Thanks.

My heart goes out to you and your family maestro.
Sadness is a measure of someone's impact on our lives,
For me more often than not having some family or friends get together share stories, anecdotes about our departed family member helped make clear to me how important they were to us. And most importantly pushes me to understand and internalize that clinging only to my grief is doing their memory a disservice.
