Lately I've been feeling like I've hit a ceiling and feeling stuck. Medication wise things have not been very good. I am on a low dose of an antidepressant and am unable to go higher due to side effect toleration. I honestly don't even know if i'm getting any benefits out of my medication. I've developed a bit of agoraphobia and rarely go out. My anxiety has gotten bad lately. I am not sure what to do.

I am fearful that I may have peaked in my development 6 years ago and things are just going downhill. I am not able to commute long distances over 30 minutes anymore without experiencing alot of anxiety. I am probably going to be getting out of the accounting field as most accounting jobs are an hour away and have had trouble finding accounting jobs close by. I haven't been able to keep any of the new jobs I have gotten so far because of them being long distance.

I am 38 and just feel so far behind. I know dwelling on it won't make things easier. I often try to find escape as I find life too overwhelming at times. I've had some recent setbacks with sexual addiction as I just desperately wanted to feel good at least for a short time. I am grateful for my parents. If I didn't have them I don't know what would happen. I fear what will happen when they are no longer around.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to be fully independent and on my own. I hope and pray it can happen and hope I can take the mental challenges that come with it. I don't know if it's possible to climb out of the pit I feel like I'm stuck in. I know it's going to take alot to climb out and only God can give me the strength to show me what to do or where to go next.

Wow that's rough. I can see what you mean about feeling stuck, I'm 45 and in my job I feel that way. I can't do anti-depressants, last time I tried Zoloft I was up for 3 days with no sleep.

Long drives don't scare me, something I enjoy them but I get what you mean by liking to stay home. Sometimes the world for me is just too much.
