Are my parents allowed to make me work for benefits

Hi yall,
My parents make me work and earn my Social Security every month to get my Social Security Disability Benefits. I am confused because i thought people get paid benefits because they cant work. I am confused. I think this might be bad of my parents. They are my representative payee and I cant report them or i would be homeless for the 21st time. AI said they should not be making me work to collect disability payments. I am so confused. i have had to burn trash with my dad to get my benefits.

That's illegal, and idk if you've already been homeless 21 times doesn't seem to be a stable living situation anyways. Might as well report them, and get set up with an actual representative payee who will help you with your money. Or you could even challenge the need for one and get the checks directly but idk maybe you do need a payee.

There is housing help for people on disability, or you could potentially find room-mates, there are options aside from your parents.
